Note 3: Some cities have a remote area surcharge of $2.00 added to rates.
Note 4: UPS rates include insurance for the first $100.00
Note 5: Do not ask us what the shipping weight is, we do not know until items are mailed,
estimate charges, any shipping charge overage is refunded.

Note 6: UPS rates continue to climb so ever high, we find the U.S. Post Office
offers the best rates using their Priority Mail service - see below.
Large size boxes and/or orders will still have to be shipped by UPS in most cases.

Below rates are to a Residental Address, Commerical Address is about 10 percent less.
Add about $0.35 per rate listed below for UPS surcharge for fuel.
Some Zip Codes may have a remote area surcharge of $2.00 added - see UPS Site.

Rates shown below are old (2007), add about $0.50 to each for 2008 (2009?)

UPS Rates: January 8th, 2008
POST OFFICE - PRIORITY MAIL RATES 2007:

USPS Priority Mail rates for UNDER1 pound can
be shipped for $4.80. Insurance or tracking is optional.
Tracking is $0.55, Insurance depends upon amount of coverage wanted.

Rates for 1.00 to 1.99 pounds are in the $4.80 to $8.25
range depending upon state (West Coast highest).

Rates for 2.00 to 2.99 pounds are in the $5.20 to $11.50
range depending upon state (West Coast highest).

Rates for 3.00 to 3.99 pounds are in the $6.80 to $14.25
range depending upon state (West Coast highest).

NOTE: Feb 2008 - USPS added a new FLAT RATE BOX for shipping
to any USA address for $9.80. Only restriction is that items will fit in the
box and the weight is not extremely high.
Box size is about 11 wide x 7 deep x 5 3/4 inches high.
Note: 2008, USPS added an even larger size flat rate box than the one listed above, about 12 x 12 x 5 3/4 for $12.95
Looking at the Priority Rates above it can be seen that for
west of the Missisippi River customers the Flat Rate Box rate
of $9.80 is the best deal, assuming the items ordered fit the above listed
size box for the USPS Flat Rate Prioity Box limits.
